Description
Skilful Skyful is a series of tutorials which gradually teach traditional block patchwork stitched on the sewing machine.
Each instalment introduces a new technique, and includes full instructions for two blocks; one easy, and one more difficult, so that you can practice and develop your skills. You could combine the finished blocks into a Sampler Quilt.
The instructions are full of Carolyn’s extra tips for achieving perfect results, and link to pages on her website with photographs and videos.
They are free to download during 2020.
This block, Windmill, is the first one in the first instalment: half-square triangles.
If you enjoy making this one, Margaret’s Choice is a more advanced block which you could use to practice the half-square triangle technique.
